Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL)

Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL) is a set of skilled occupations pre-determined by the Department of Education and Training (DET) and the Department of Home Affairs (which was formerly known as the DIBP).

Skilled Occupation List (SOL) was replaced by Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL) on 18th April 2017.

This list is used for qualification for skilled migration to Australia. Aspirants are directed to nominate an occupation from the MLTSSL. This is valid for General Skilled Migration, and for those who wants to Migrate to Australia Independently.

If the occupation is listed on the MLTSSL, then the aspirant may qualify in various GSM Categories.

It must be noted that all occupations used for purposes of immigration are sourced from ANZSCO (Australia and New Zealand Skilled Classification of Occupations).

But if you want to apply for skilled migration via nomination by a State/Territory Government, you can nominate an occupation from the Short-term Skilled Occupation List or STSOL.
