Migration Tasmania has released its most recent update on processing times and the utilization of nomination places, as of October 23, 2023.
Processing Times:
The program's current processing times indicate that the oldest application for nomination, which has not yet been allocated for processing, was submitted on October 1, 2023. This provides an insight into the program's timeline for handling applications.
Nomination Allocations and Applications:
For the Skilled Nominated (subclass 190) visa category, a total of 239 nominations out of the available 600 places have been utilized. Additionally, there are 48 nomination applications that have been lodged but not yet decided. Furthermore, 18 invitations have been issued for nomination applications, but they have not been accepted yet. A total of 536 registrations of interest (ROI) are currently on hand.
In the Skilled Work Regional (subclass 491) visa category, 178 nominations out of 600 available places have been used. There are 43 nomination applications that have been lodged but are pending decisions. Moreover, 12 invitations have been issued for nomination applications in this category, but they are awaiting acceptance. There are 391 ROIs currently on hand for this category.
It's important to note that once a case is allocated for processing, Migration Tasmania aims to provide an outcome within 10 days. This commitment to efficiency ensures that applicants receive timely responses to their submissions.
Migration Tasmania continues to select ROIs to apply for nomination on an ongoing basis. They issue up to 30 invitations every week. However, it's essential to understand that only the most competitive ROIs are chosen to proceed with the nomination process.
