On last Friday, SA has published some additional instructions for the state nomination of the ICT occupations. Here's a list of things which you must know:
- Immigration SA will require offshore applicants for ICT occupations on the State Nominated Occupation List (in 2018-19) will have to meet higher points requirement on the Department of Home Affair's points test.
ICT occupations offshore applicants:
- Candidates have to refer to the State Nominated Occupation List for more details on the minimum points required for your specific occupation.
- The initial minimum points requirement is 70 points (including state nomination points). Then maybe reduced to 65 and then 60 based on the number of applications.
- Once the planning level is met, it will be listed under special conditions, and the applicants will only be eligible if they meet one of the special conditions categories.
ICT occupations Working in South Australia / South Australian Graduates:
- If you are currently working in SA or an International Graduate of SA, a minimum 60 points will be required (including State Nomination Points)
(Note: Higher points are not required in these case)
ICT occupations Work Experience Points:
- If you claim work experience points prior to this date listed on your skills assessment, your state nomination application will be refused due to points being incorrectly claimed.
