The Northern Territory's General Skilled Migration (GSM) nomination program for 2024-25 has reached its allocation capacity. The online portal for new applications is now suspended. Applications received before the suspension will still be assessed, and eligible applicants will be issued nominations.
The program will reopen for new applications when allocations for the 2025-26 program year are received.
Exceptions for Onshore Applicants:
During the suspension, applications will only be accepted by exception for onshore applicants with the following visa deadlines before 1 July 2025:
-
Visas expiring before 1 July 2025 (and not eligible for a Temporary Graduate Visa).
-
Applicants turning ineligible due to age (e.g., turning 45 or losing migration points below 65).
Important: While nominations for these cases will be prioritized, guarantees cannot be provided before visa expiry.
Onshore applicants with expiring visas are advised to seek professional guidance to explore alternative visa options and ensure they remain lawful in Australia.
