Victoria has published the news as follows:
Skilled migrants are among eligible visa holders can enter Victoria without having to quarantine from 1 Decemberexternal link. They also wont need to seek an exemption to enter Australia.
International students and those on refugee and working holiday visas are also eligible.
Under these arrangements, travellers to Victoria must:
Be fully vaccinated with a vaccine approved or recognised by Australias Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA)
Present a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within three days of departure
Victoria is one of the few states and territories in Australia that are allowing quarantine-free travel for eligible visa holders.
From 1 December 2021, Australia will also welcome back fully vaccinated citizens from Japan and the South Korea. They will not have to quarantine in Victoria, nor seek a travel exemption.
This announcement is another step in the gradual reopening of Australian borders. It follows the commencement of exemption-free travel for fully vaccinated Singaporean travellers from 21 November.
